  This position is eligible for a $2,000 sign on bonus.

An experienced NICET III certified Senior Bridge Inspector is needed for the NYSDOT Region 4, I-490 project (D265213). This is a two and a half season construction project that will begin in July/August of 2024 and complete in December, 2026. Under the direction supervision of the Chief Inspector, the Sr Inspector will oversee daily work operations of the contractor to ensure that the work is being completed in accordance with the contract documents. The Sr Inspector will also oversee the work of other inspectors on the project and assist the Chief Inspector with administrative responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordination of a project. The candidate will be a proactive self-starter and a positive example to others on the job.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee contractors' work to ensure conformance to contract documents
• Supervise work of other inspectors
• Personally inspect the bridge/structure
• Supervise other inspection team member(s) to verify that each bridge/structure is properly inspected
• Verify inspection results are properly documented
• Assures all procedures required by the Client are implemented.
• Address field and design changes as necessary
• Prepare daily work reports documenting completed work for payment to contractor

Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required
• Must have a minimum of 15+ years of bridge experience
• Efficient with the use of Site Manager
• Provide a detailed resume highlighting your bridge experience and a minimum of two client references
