GENERAL SUMMARY

To serve as a vital resource for the Office of Patient Experience & Engagement (OPXE) team regarding project management. This includes establishment of project management processes, standards, and timelines to ensure seamless implementation. With direction from OPXE leadership, this position will support, coordinate and execute initiatives within the office to enhance the UAB Health System's strategy to become a top performing health system in the area of patient experience and engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Content expert for project management processes and methods.

* Focuses on enhancing OPXE efficiency and effectiveness through project management methods.

* Assists in creating and tracking projects for OPXE within project management software.

* Contributes to the development, implementation, and execution of all Patient Experience and Engagement improvement efforts.

* Supports patient experience improvement efforts with UAB Medicine clinical and operational leaders as needed.

* Maintains OPXE project management software.

* Maintains contracts and partnership documents and timelines for OPXE.

* Assists in OPXE operations and logistics.

* Identifies industry-wide best practices.

* Works collaboratively with the OPXE Team, organizational leaders, staff, and physicians/faculty to assist in successful project implementation.

* Supports interdisciplinary teams with an emphasis on developing and refining methodologies to continually improve the patient experience and engagement across UAB Health System.

Performs other duties as assigned in support of Office of Patient Experience and Engagement efforts across UAB Medicine.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in related field and three (3) years related health care experience required. Master's degree in related field preferred. Experience managing projects and maintain a project management system. Experience working with patient experience and engagement data, including Value Based Purchasing (VBP) and CAHPS preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) required. Must possess effective communication, facilitation, and group presentation skills. Must be able to navigate a large and complex organization.
