Job Description

Summary:  Provides advanced technical customer service and support by leading the integration of systems for use in the Palletizing industry.   Must travel frequently to provide expert level technical customer service, programming and support during the installation, commissioning, and service of Robotic Palletizing equipment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Contributes to customer satisfaction by providing comprehensive assistance in person or via phone or email. Supports customers with timely response to service requests that includes frequent travel (50%). Educates, trains, and troubleshoots problems both on-site and remotely; includes sharing responsibility for on call after hours support. Maintains a professional demeanor with customers and establishes a rapport to maintain overall customer satisfaction.
  2. Ensures proper electrical and mechanical installation by supervising local electricians and assembly personnel during installation.
  3. Confirms equipment is running properly  by testing local input and output once the electrical installation is complete. Testing of pneumatic devices after installed and testing all control interlocks and assures that the correct alarm states are indicated.
  4. Finalizes the commissioning of the Robotic palletizing system  by ensuring all aspects are functioning properly. Educates and trains customers on equipment to ensure continued proper functioning of the system.
  5. Ensures that production schedule and profitability commitments are met by working in a safe and efficient manner within the allotted time frame. Exhibits continual awareness of quality standards and estimated cost parameters.
  6. Assists with sales support by increasing customer interest in plant upgrades and future modifications. Prescribes recommended parts that should be purchased and provide recommendations on maintenance issues when necessary. Provides technical support to sales repres entatives, records key information to aid the sales team in quoting, and provides the engineering department with plant layouts.
  7. Documents project requirements by completing job and expense reports within established time guidelines. Documents and communicates information regarding the status of projects and all on-site changes and assists in the development of service manuals.
  8. Lead, mentor and assist in the training of Field Service Tech Trainee and (Junior) Field Service Techs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (cont.):

  1. Customer-Required Drug and Alcohol Testing
  1. Employees assigned to work at customer sites or on specific customer-related projects at Client. will be subject to any additional drug and alcohol policies and testing programs required by the customer, provided that the policies and programs are consisted with all applicable federal, state and local laws. Before any testing occurs employees who are subject to customer-related testing must sign the Employee Consent to Customer-Required Drug and/or Alcohol Testing Form.

  1. Valid Driver’s License and Driving Record

Ability to travel to/from airports and/or customer facilities utilizing your own vehicle or a leased vehicle, therefore

our company Vehicle Policy).

  1. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.

  1. Continuously improves operating efficiencies by participating in cross-functional teams, eliminating non-value-added activities and documenting processes and procedures.
